December 2021

Amy receives one of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association's 2021 Daniel K. Inouye Trailblazer Awards at NAPABA's Annual Convention. The award is NAPABA’s lifetime achievement award and highest honor that recognizes the outstanding achievements, commitment, and leadership of lawyers who have paved the way for the advancement of other Asian American Pacific Islanders attorneys. Trailblazers have demonstrated vision, courage, and tenacity in their practice. They have also made substantial and lasting contributions to the Asian American Pacific Islanders legal profession, as well as the broader Asian American Pacific Islanders community.


August 2021

Amy joins the Board of Governors of the American Bar Association as a Goal III Minority Member-at-Large for a three year term.


July 2021

Amy completes her term as the first Asian Pacific American and 97th President of the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) and is installed as the Immediate Past President of the CBA for the 2021-2022 bar year.


June 2021

Governor Lamont appoints Amy as Co-Chair of the Connecticut Hate Crimes Advisory Council.


February 20, 2021

Amy is nominated to be elected at the 2021 American Bar Association's Annual Meeting to serve on the ABA Board of Governors (2021–2024).


November 2020

American Bar Association President Stephen Zack appoints Amy to the ABA Standing Committee on Professional Discipline for a three­-year term. Established in 1973, the Committee assists the judiciary and the bar in the development, coordination, and strengthening of disciplinary enforcement in the legal profession throughout the United States.


April 15, 2010

Connecticut Senator John McKinney, Senate Minority Leader, appoints Amy as a Commissioner to the state's Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission.


November 2009

Amy becomes a Fellow of The James W. Cooper Fellows Program of The Connecticut Bar Foundation that strives to promote a better understanding of the legal profession and the judicial system among the citizens of Connecticut, and addresses matters concerning the legal profession and administration of justice in Connecticut, including its structure, organization and challenges. Selection as a Fellow requires demonstrated superior legal ability and devotion to the welfare of the community, state, and nation, as well as to the advancement of the legal profession.


March 30, 2009

Accepting the invitation of the Connecticut Bar Foundation, Amy joins its Board of Directors. The Connecticut Bar Foundation, established in 1952, is a non­profit organization which develops and administers programs to enhance understanding and improvement of the law and legal institutions, provides grants for legal research, and sponsors educational symposia. The Foundation also administers the Interest on Lawyers' Trust Accounts (IOLTA) program for the benefit of legal services agencies and law school scholarship programs for students demonstrating financial need attending law schools in Connecticut.

An alumna of the Sigma Delta chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority at Duke University, Amy joins the Chapter Advisory Board of the newly installed Eta Nu chapter at Sacred Heart University. 


August 2007

Amy joins the National Advisory Council of the American Judicature Society (AJS). Founded in 1913, the AJS is an independent, national, nonpartisan organization of judges, lawyers, and other members of the public who seek to improve the justice system. AJS, which brings a public perspective to justice system issues, has the mission to secure and promote an independent and qualified judiciary and fair system of justice.


July 1, 2007

Amy Chairs the Solo and Small Firm Practice Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association for the 2007­-2008 bar year.


April 5, 2007 Amy is featured in the Connecticut Lawyer magazine.


August 5, 2006

Amy joins the Council of the ABA General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Division. With over 32,400 members, the GP Solo Division is one of the largest groups within the ABA. Amy's four­-year term began at the adjournment of the ABA Annual Meeting in August 2006. She is also serving as Director of Division 4 of the GP Solo Division.


April 26, 2006

Amy receives the 2nd Annual Edwin Archer Randolph Diversity Award from the The Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity (formerly known as the Connecticut Lawyers Group) for her significant contributions and accomplishments in the advancement of attorneys of color within Connecticut’s legal community. The award was presented at the Aetna Theater in the Wadsworth Atheneum along with a Proclamation from CT Governor M. Jodi Rell proclaiming April 26, 2006 as Amy Lin Meyerson Day in the state of Connecticut.

November 7, 2005

The Connecticut Bar Association Board of Governors appoints Amy to serve on the Board of the Statewide Legal Services of Connecticut, Inc. that serves as the access point to the legal aid services programs in Connecticut which provide legal assistance in civil matters to low­-income persons.


October 20, 2005

Amy is installed as the President of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) at its 17th Annual Convention in Chicago, IL. Headquartered in Washington, DC, NAPABA advocates for the legal needs and interests of the APA community and represents over 40,000 attorneys and 47 local APA bar associations, whose practice settings range from solo practices to large firms, corporations, legal services organizations, non­ profit organizations, law schools, and governmental agencies.


September 1, 2005

Amy accepts an invitation to become a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Selection as a Fellow is recognition of a lawyer as one whose professional, public and private career has demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of the community, the traditions of the profession and the maintenance and advancement of the objectives of the American Bar Association. Membership in The Fellows is limited to one­third of one percent of the lawyers in each state.
